VeriCool We are proud of the seamless link that we have developed which enables our software to read and write statutory and non-statutory registration data in real-time. One of the key areas of strength of VeriCool lies in its interface with SIMS.Net and the speed of data writing, which ensures that an attendance officer can identify an absent student in seconds and not hours.
To further enhance VeriCool we have added additional modules that you will see detailed below. These modules are: Enrolment – A single electronic signature from each middle finger of a student or member of staff is captured. This signature consists of up to 600 data points that are converted into an alphanumeric string of data, which is stored on a dedicated server. Once this data is stored it can never be viewed as anything other than a string of letters, numbers or dots. Class Registration – VeriCool is installed on a classroom computer or teacher’s laptop. Once the VeriCool scanner is connected via a USB port, the teacher logs in, selects the relevant class for that period and enters the registration screen. Students in turn place either of their enrolled fingers on the scanner to verify attendance. Once complete the classroom computer will automatically update marks back to SIMS Attendance and Lesson monitor. Automated Guardian Alert (AGA) – Once registration is complete this first day contact module enables a busy attendance officer to identify absentees of a typical school in seconds, rather than minutes or hours. Detailed Parent or Guardian contact information is displayed ensuring that the correct person is contacted via SMS text or telephone in the fastest way possible. Using a UK network for texting provided by Netsecrets, a Parent or Guardian can be contacted in under 20 seconds, and they then have the option to call or text back to the school to confirm receipt of the message. School- Absence Module - Not only does School Absence provide a direct replacement for the manual registration process when the “FIRE ALARM” is raised, but it also enables your form tutors and teaching staff to identify during a specific day who is absent, whether authorised or non-authorised, during any given period. School Reception - New to the Vericool product line is School Reception, our fully automated late book and Visitor log. A touch screen monitor placed in receptions allows all students and staff to sign in, out and in late-even directing students to their next class. School Reception also records all visitors as well automatically printing an identity badge. Cashless Catering – Low-cost, low-maintenance fingertip catering solution for your school. Swipe cards are costly to replace, easily damaged, can be stolen or lost. Using VeriCool Cashless Catering, students and staff all pay the same way, with their enrolled finger. The system produces comprehensive reports of what has been eaten, when, by who and can even produce a calorific content report for each Parent or Guardian. Accounts can be credited using our own designed coin and note loaders or electronically using the Parent Pay web portal.
