VeriCool
VeriCool for Schools is a suite of software that uses fingertip verification to identify a student and enables them to register in class or purchase in the school canteen. VeriCool has been developed over the last 24 months and has successfully been installed in a number of Primary and Secondary Schools to provide a logical, cost-effective and accurate registration solution for schools wishing to move away from the paper register or OMR or replace their card-based cashless catering solution. A fundamental reason for the success of VeriCool, aside from all the major benefits listed in our sales literature or on our website, is the enjoyment that students get from using it. A process as simple as registering in class turns into an exciting experience. No longer having to call out their name to acknowledge their attendance, students place their finger on the fingertip scanner, listen for the confirmation chime and register themselves. The UK’s leading provider of library management systems to education, and Capita SIMS, the market leader in Management Information Systems to the Education and Children’s Services Sector, have announced a landmark partnership ensuring full integration of all MLS systems with SIMS.net and exposure of library data and resources in the learning gateway.
Schools will benefit from the simplified management and reduced workload of integrating ‘real-time’ Capita SIMS.net pupil data directly into the library management system.
MLS have recognised the importance of developing integration with the learning gateway and since doing so have created a huge amount of success integrating and extending their web based library management system, Eclipse.net. HCSS Education Ltd
Currently work with over 50 Local Authorities and are the market leaders for providing multi-year budgeting software to schools. In February, 2008 a ‘link’ module will be released enabling users of FMS6 to import data from HCSS’s FPS.Net and FPSadvance.Net software into FMS SQL Server thereby significantly reducing the level of data entry.
HCSS’s FPS.Net and FPSadvance.Net software can be tailored to meet your Local Authority’s LMS delegated scheme, the effect of allocating budgets in 2008/09 can be easily seen in future years. Reports for Governors can be presented either as bar chart/pie charts together with the budgets entered into the software.
A key benefit of HCSS’s FPSadvance.Net software is the ability to link the School Development Plan (SDP) to the budgeting process. Users of FPSadvance.Net have access to a SDP template which enables them to produce a fully costed SDP. Associated costs are automatically fed through to the 5 year financial planning module thereby satisfying DCSF and OFSTED requirements.
Training and software support packages are available.

TOSHIBA
Toshiba’s suite of connectors allow for the seamless integration of hard copy documents into the SIMS .net system.
Using the touch sensitive screen located next to a digital copier, documents can be scanned directly into the relevant Focus Group and Sub-Area within SIMS. By using 'one time" authentication at the start of this process with a SIMS username and password, user rights are also replicated.
Once the document is residing within SIMS it can be easily retrieved at the desktop for viewing, amendment, distribution or printing.
Using eCopy Desktop software (10 seats included) files can be opened and saved directly from within SIMS. Users can annotate documents, OCR them directly into an editable format or create PDF files from multiple applications for distribution or storage back into SIMS.
The sophisticated scanning capabilities of this system are delivered with high level security features and audit trails.
In addition to the integration into SIMS, this system includes native integration into your email application for secure document transmission, native connection into your Microsoft Sharepoint application and the ability to create custom buttons for scanning to file and or integration into other key processes." |
