    The SIMS Support Accreditation Scheme

At Capita Children’s Services we share your understanding of the importance of providing schools with the highest quality of SIMS software support, thus ensuring that they effectively manage their day-to-day and long term responsibilities, vital to schools, the LA and the DCSF.

The SIMS Support Accreditation Scheme was set up with the following key objectives:

    • Identify a process for independent monitoring and evaluation of the quality of support being provided to schools via their LA
    • Provide Authorities with the evidence through school ratings and opinions to assess current strengths and weaknesses and highlight areas of achievement as well as those needing immediate attention

The core element of the accreditation process is conducted via an online questionnaire asking schools to rate the various aspects of support for SIMS including:

    • The school’s use of SIMS
    • Training
    • Helpdesk
    • Support Visits
    • Remote Support
    • Technical Support

General comments are also invited and usually elicit constructive suggestions for service enhancements.

    Validity period for accredited status:

SIMS full accreditation status is valid for a period of two years from the date of the confirmed decision. A review of the status will be scheduled well in advance of the expiry date to ensure continuity of accreditation.
