Voice Connect

Informer for Schools is a communication tool, which allows a school to send out text, email and voice messages to selected groups of parents, students, staff etc. It is a PC based system, which can be connected to the schools’ telephone system or telephone lines. Informer for Schools fully integrates with the SIMS software, allowing admin staff to achieve first day contact for absent pupils.

How Does Informer for Schools Work?

The school takes morning registration as usual. The unauthorised absence list is exported from the registration system on to VC Informer for Schools. From your existing records, each parent of a child who is absent without authorisation is contacted with a text message, voice call or email (whichever they prefer). It explains that their child is not at school today and informs them that they should phone in as soon as possible or reply to the message to explain why.
