Groupcall
Groupcall allows schools to send text messages (SMS) to the mobile phones of parents, staff and other school contacts, for a low monthly subscription fee.
Groupcall reads pupil and attendance information live and in real time from SIMS (SQL), no data export or re-keying is required.
Developed in partnership with Primary and Secondary schools, it provides First Day Contact, unauthorised absence chasing and general parental communication all in one integrated desktop solution. Using the system is as easy as sending an email, you decide who you want to send the message to, type the text and Hit Send. The difference with using Groupcall is that you know if the message has arrived to the mobile phone as it confirms the delivery of every message that is sent.
Groupcall can also be used from the web if required in emergency situations or where access to the school is difficult. A recent example was when a head took a group of students to Wales and used the Groupcall website to keep parents informed by text of pupil wellbeing.
A Groupcall subscription includes the desktop software, access to the Groupcall website, support and product updates as well as hundreds of free messages.
