    The Accreditation Process

The sequence of events in the accreditation process are:

    Preliminary meeting
A Capita representative will discuss the process in detail.

    Electronic return by the authority
This return is mainly subjective and should be accompanied by various elements of supporting evidence, e.g. training schedules and websites.

    Online Survey
Each supported school will be invited to complete an online questionnaire over a two-week period. The actual returns and various summary reports will be immediately accessible by the authority's support unit.

    Survey analysis
A second meeting will focus on the authority's return and the outcomes of the schools' responses.

    Accreditation status
    • Full Accreditation
    • Conditional Accreditation
(dependent on certain agreed criteria being achieved)

    Accreditation Not Awarded
A clear list of recommendations will be provided

    Presentation
A framed Accreditation Certificate will be formally presented to successful LAs. A digital camera will be presented to the winning school from the online Survey Prize Draw.

The Accreditation Process will cover a period of six working weeks
